In our Caterpillar room we look after children who are beginning to talk and think for themselves. It is also where children start to learn the art of potty training. The emphasis of this room is allowing children to learn through play and fun to enhance their developmental skills. Children also develop a sense of independence, self esteem and respect for their environment and others around them.
An open plan room with easy access to the garden and offers all six areas of learning through role play, construction area, creative/messy area, book area, mark making opportunities and home corner. There are also two adjoining rooms – a “mini-room” for tactile/sensory play and a room for story and small world activities.
